The new Mercedes CL is due to be unveiled at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show.

Although the car in our photos is a bit disguised, there are some styling details that are clear such as a bonnet and front end similar to that of the CLS.

It will also share some design features with the new S-Class. Overall the CL will grow in length too.

There is no doubt that it will have a sportier flair, while our spy photos also indicate that the car will appear more dynamic.

The next CL will also keep some styling cues of the current model such as the flat bonnet and big overhangs.

As with the new S-Class the CL will be packed with the latest Merc gizmos - from Brake Assist PLUS with radar sensors to seats with an extended massage function. Also included is the night view assist system with the latest infra-red technology, the new COMAND system, preventative PRE-SAFE occupant protection with additional functions as well as Parking Assist.

It will share its engine line-up with the S-Class and model derivatives will inclue a 200kW CL 350, 285kW CL 500 and 380kW CL 600. An AMG model is also on the cards for introduction in 2007.
