The Montana is available in both 4x2 and 4x4 configurations and consumers are able to choose between two body styles - double cab or super cab. The Super Cab takes the form of an extended single cab but offers greater space and usability.
The Ranger Super Cab sports an innovative Dual Rear Access System (RAS), where a second door is introduced to the cab.
This allows the driver to keep his seat in place while opening up the rear access panel. This panel is hinged (almost like a double door) which allows either the driver or passenger easy access to the storage area behind the seats.
Powered by Ford?s 2.5-litre, 12-valve, turbocharged diesel motor, the Montana sets impressive standards for engine and driving dynamics. The 2.5-litre engine develops a maximum power output of 80 kW at 3 500 r/min and produces a torque peak of 257 Nm at just 2 000 r/min.
All Montana models sport a diff-lock as a standard feature.

The Ranger Montana comes with a variety of distinguishing characteristics. The first clues of its individuality come by way of the Montana decals, which introduce the Montana as a unique entity in the Ranger line-up.
Further evidence of the vehicle's individuality can be found on the tonneau cover, which features a screen-printed Montana logo.
The rugged stance of the Montana is perfectly complimented by various exterior stainless steel components.
The nudge bar, sports bar, side steps and rear step bumper are all finished in stainless steel, which not only looks the part but is also more durable than steel, better withstanding scratches and dents.
Alloy rims and chrome finished scuff plates complete the exterior makeover that differentiates the Ranger Montana from other pick-ups. The 4x2 Super Cab Montana models also benefit from the addition of 245/75R15 tyres.
On the inside there are black leather seats with red stitching and all models offer a high spec level which include air-conditioning, electric windows in the front and rear, electric exterior mirrors, central locking, lockable glovebox and radio/ CD.
