An announcement about Michael Schumacher's future beyond 2006 in F1 will not be made at the Nurburgring, his manager says.
German compatriot Willi Weber denied reports that the grand prix venue, about a one-hour drive from Schumacher's birthplace, had been chosen to unveil the new one or two-year contract to race for Ferrari.
"I would like him to decide quickly but it is definitely impossible that we will announce something this weekend," Weber told Sport-Informations-Dienst.
He also echoed Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo's calculation that the chances of a new deal are around 'fifty-fifty', and predicted that an announcement will be imminent in June.
Weber, playing down suggestions that 37-year-old Schumacher's recent Imola win might have a bearing, continued, "It is his decision alone.
"Of course Michael wants to always win, but victories won't really change anything," he said.
