BIKE BALLET: Two riders found themselves trying to stop their bikes following a bizarre crash at Magny-Cours
The 2011 Promosport championship race at the French race circuit in Magny-Cours saw amateur riders face off with hopes of earning their big break in international racing.
Two unfortunate riders stepped into the limelight... but for all the wrong reasons.
TANGLED UP
They clipped each other and ended up being thrown across the track. Then things became weird. Their bikes interlocked and rolled off together.
As one of the riders tried to separate them, the machines - one with its rear wheel still under power - began spinning around each other and the vehicular ballet continued for a while before coming to stop in front of baffled riders.
Maybe the two bikes finally "found each other" and were determined not to be split up?
