BIRMINGHAM, England - Crazy stunts performed by equally unhinged riders enthralled British crowds at the 2012 Motorcycle Live show running from November - December 2012 at the National Exhibition Centre here.
The event featured 15 motorcycle racing stars and biking celebrities who re-created the show’s 2012 advertising campaign.
England rugby star Matt Banahan and BBC MotoGP commentator Matt Roberts were joined on stage by 13 racing stars, including MotoGP rider Cal Crutchlow.
Crutchlow, who earned his first MotoGP podium during the 2012 season, said: “It’s great coming back, especially for the fans. Of course, I do some stuff for my sponsors, but it’s great to be up close with the fans that support us all year and sign some autographs for them.”
For those keen on riding new bikes, the show hosted a test-ride zone. Show-goers with a full motorcycle licence can sign up for a free 20-minute test ride on a model of their choice before heading out on the open roads around NEC accompanied by an escort.
BBC TV’s MotoGP anchor, Matt Roberts, shares his thoughts on the Motorcycle live show:
