The United States is set to host three MotoGP races during 2013. Championship organisers Dorna announced the Austin circuit in Texas will be hosting a race on April 21, 2013.

Like the United States Grand Prix in Laguna Seca, California, the event will only feature a MotoGP category race, whereas, the third of the American races, the Indianapolis Grand Prix, involves all three categories – MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3.

The race will see Ben Spies, a fellow Texan, in his first season on a Ducati after moving from Yamaha.

All in all there are 19 Grands Prix scheduled for 2013, including a return to Argentina.
