ASSEN, Netherlands - A German competitor in the motorcycle sidecar World Championships was killed in a crash on August 04 2013 at the Dutch circuit of, Assen, in the Netherlands.
Sandor Pohl was thrown from the sidecar of rider Stefan Kiser at the Haarbocht bend but was then struck by another bike during Round 6 of the Championship.

The video shows the pair entering a bend at high-speed; Kiser loses control and the rig tips, causing Pohl to be thrown from the sidecar. Pohl can be seen sitting dazed on the track moments before being struck by another bike.
Doctors and medical staff at the track were unsuccessful in their attempts to revive Pohl. The race was called off.
