Ducati's urban jungle concept

Yep, unfortunately this bike is still only a concept, but according to designer Pierre Terblanche, "Considering the success that this bike has had since we first showed it, it is clear that the Ducati fans love it."
The bike managed to take home the coveted "Best of Show" award at the recent 63rd International Motorcycle Exhibition, EICMA.
"To win this award is extremely important, especially with such a radical motorcycle. It shows that we are headed in the right direction," added Terblanche.
"The bike takes power, aggressiveness, versatility, and performance to a new extreme."
Power is by a 1000 Dual Spark motor - the same fitted to the new range of SS models - a range also penned by Terblanche.
This should give it about 90bhp on tap and a top speed of around 200km/h.

Because this is a naked bike, the engine features magnesium engine covers in an effort to "clean up the design".
The styling is sharp with minimal bodywork stretched over the trellis frame. The exhaust outlets sit snugly under the seat. This bike may be a departure from the current line-up, but it is unmistakably Ducati.
As it will be used (and abused) in extreme conditions it has some impressive tackle.
It drives off Marchesini rims and has a single sided swingarm mated to an Ohlins shock.
In an effort to make in-town driving as easy as possible the concept also comes fitted with a slipper clutch. This way, you can down gear without locking up the rear wheel.
Braking is by the legendary Brembo. Up front is a single, radial mounted, four-pad calliper with a 320mm disc. The back features a 240mm disc.
