Following in the footsteps of Erik Buell Racing, Motus’ unveiling is the second major motorcycle launch to hail from the USA in 2011 – this time in the shape of the cracking new MST-01 sport tourer.
Powered by a V4-scale four-cylinder version of the Le Mans-winning Corvette GT1 V8, the MST is described by the company as a “fresh take on the American motorcycle”.
Designed to marry performance, comfort and range, “the MST series represents comfortable sportbikes with optimum rider and passenger comfort for extended, spirited journeys, and quality components for responsive handling,” the company says.
In addition to the MST-01, Motus has also unveiled a naked MST-R which is powered by the same KMV4 gasoline direct injected V4 engine.
“We are so proud to show the world the MST series,” says Motus president, Lee Conn. “We poured our hearts and souls into these motorcycles and hope that it shows in terms of the quality and character of the machines.”
Both the base model MST and the premium MST-R are scheduled to enter production in late 2011 after they have completed extensive testing and refinement.
