Meet the KTM 1190 RC8 R Track, the first ready-to-race superbike from the Austrian manufacturer.
Based on the brilliantly edgy RC8 R, the stripped-down Track makes it possible for KTM riders to take their two wheeler from the crate straight on to the track, without the need for any modifications.
KTM has shaved the RC8 R down to the bone to create the full-fairing Track, which comes without indicators, headlight, mirrors or a registration plate holder.
Powered by a 1195c V-twin engine, the new Track’s mill creates a seriously impressive 132kW (up 7kW from the RC8 R’s 125 kW) and because this model is compatible with FIM Superstock homologation, it can be used in official championships. This should greatly help to increase KTM’s circuit presence.
Other bits that help bring the new KTM track tool up to speed includes an Akrapovic EVO exhaust, WP suspension racing suspension, automatic quickshifter, Brembo monobloc brakes with racing brake pads and a subframe, handlebars and footpegs which can be adjusted.
