We have known for quite some time that Husqvarna’s new 900 machine will be powered by an uprated BMW F800 mill, but now that the company has released the technical details of the powertrain we have a much clearer idea of what to expect from the final product.
Husqvarna has also finally revealed a host of hi-res images showing the new two-wheeler (which is going by the name of Nuda 900R) in all its glory...and what a looker it is, with its angular lines and edgy styling.
According to the company’s website, we can look forward to more than 75kW maximum power output and more than 100Nm for maximum torque from the 900c parallel twin cylinder engine.
At the same time the bike will weigh in under 175 kg, which puts it firmly in the same league as the Ducati Hypermotard 1100.
With regards to suspension expect a 48mm Sachs shock in the front, fully adjustable in terms of compression, rebound damping and spring pre-load of course. The rear is treated to a similarly adjustable Öhlins shock.
Stopping power comes courtesy of radially mounted Brembo monobloc front brake callipers with four pistons.
What do you think of the new Husqy Nuda 900R? And even more importantly, would you pick it over its main rivals, the Ducati Hypermotard and KTM SuperDuke?
