SACHSENRING, Germany - Honda will take the first two places on the grid for the start of the 2015 German MotoGP at the Sachsenring on Sunday.
Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha) will fill third place on the front row.
Honda's Marc Marquez took his sixth Sachsenring pole with a lap of 1min20.336, beating his own qualifying record of 2014 by a half-second, to fend off team mate Dani Pedrosa.
NEMESIS SIXTH
Marquez' previous record qualifying time for MotoGP at the Sachsenring was set in 2014 at 1min20.937.
His Nemesis, Yamaha's Valentino Rossi, was sixth behind the Ducatis of Andrea Iannone and Yonny Hernandez.
Next, in order to 10th, were Aleix Espargaro (Suzuki), Pol Espargaro (Yamaha), Bradley Smith (Yamaha) and Cal Crutchlow (Honda).
