TomTom satnav - for bikers

2013-02-15 08:03

TomTom has introduced an all-weather satnav set-up for motorcycles - choose your route, even a twisty one, if you prefer, with gloves no problem.

LONDON, England - TomTom UK has launched a 'Rider Premium Pack', an accessory pack to complement the popular Rider navigation solution for motorcyclists. Check with your SA supplier to see if they have it yet...

Used with the satnav that enables bikers to choose the type of route they want to ride, the Premium Pack includes three new accessories; anti-theft, a travel carry case and a car mounting kit.

The anti-theft solution locks the TomTom Rider to the bike, at least for short stops. The travel case keeps it safe whether stowed at home or on the road, and the car kit includes a speaker, meaning spoken instructions can be heard when using the device in other vehicles.

Stephane Hareau, global marketing director of TomTom Consumer, said: “We've listened to feedback from bikers and have launched theTomTom Rider Premium pack edition. It provides three useful accessories for the TomTom Rider satnav.”

The anti-theft part is also available separately in the UK and is compatible with any other previous version of TomTom Rider.

The TomTom Rider Premium Pack is priced in the UK at £430 (about R7000). The standard Rider kit without the extra accessories costs £350.
