WOODLAND, Utah — Authorities say a motorcyclist from England has been killed after driving on the wrong side of the road.

Utah Highway Patrol officials say the crash happened a little after noon on Wednesday (Sept 24 2014).

EMBANKMENT PLUNGE

Troopers say the man and another tourist who was also on holiday from England were driving their motorcycles on the wrong side of State Route 35 when a truck approached. Vehicles in the UK drive on the left, Americans on the right - as in Europe.

One of the bikers swerved out of the way, the other collided with the truck. Bike and truck went down a steep 30m-high embankment. The biker died on the scene; his name and hometown have not yet been released.

The truck driver was flown to hospital in a serious condition.
