A classic motorcycle show scheduled for the UK in November is going further than just showing off beautiful bikes; 50 will be entered into a Pride of Ownership competition.
The Footman James Classic Motorbike Show at Birmingham's national exhibition centre from November 11-13 is looking for entrants from among individual owners of either standard or modified motorcycles "from down the ages" who want to showcase their "pride and joy".
MAGAZINE SPREAD
Only 50 bikes from any country and of all years will be chosen in seven categories: re-1946; 1946-59; 1960-69; 1970 to present; British; European; and Japanese.
A panel of judges will select the best bikes, awarding the winners a trophy as well as a selection of prizes including products from the Meguiars bike-only range. The 'Best Bike in Show' will receive a trophy, care products and a feature spread in a leading motorcycle magazine.
The Pride of Ownership winners will be announced on the final day of the show on the live interview stage by one of the show's special guests.
The show will also feature displays from the UK's favourite motorcycle clubs, a trading village and a popular bike jumble as well as a live interview stage and classic bike trials action.
