Triumph continues Adventure tease

This is the clearest image so far of Triumph's two new Triumph Adventure bikes. Triumph has also released the third video in its drip-feed-promo-campaign which gives details of the bikes’ chassis setup.

In recognition of the fact that many adventure bikers never get their two-wheelers dirty, Triumph has decided to launch two slightly different versions of the new model – one will be road-biased with a 17" front wheel, the other made for eating dirt with a 21".

According to the video, the bikes will share the same steel frame, upright riding position, generous luggage capacity and large fuel tank. The main difference will be in their suspension set-up (the road-going model gets a firmer set-up) and the size of their front wheels.

Although Triumph remains tight-lipped about the exact technical spec for the new bikes’ engine, power will come from an uprated version of the Daytona 675’s triple engine with displacement bumped up to around 800cc. This will pit the Triumph bikes directly across the mid-weight BMW F 800GS.

The bike in the line drawing is the smaller-wheeled road-biased version.
