Meet the Saietta, a radical new electric motorcycle concept unveiled at the 2011 London Motorcycle Show. According to its creators the Saietta represents the future of urban motorcycling, though we remain unconvinced.
In the official media release Agility Global doesn’t reveal an awful lot about its zero-emissions urban sports bike’s technical specifications but does say it embodies “current state-of-the-art electric capability and performance”.
The bike is allegedly also “designed for plug-and-play upgradeability to accommodate future electric technology”.
TWO VERSIONS
According to the company the concept will be created in two versions - the Saietta S and Saietta R - with respective ranges of 100km and 160km and 0-100km/h sprint times of less than five and four seconds.
The two bikes are expected to sell for R115 000 and R160 000 respectively.
Agility Global, which created the Saietta, is based in London and is engaged in vehicle design, engineering and manufacture and other related high technology industries.
What are your thoughts on the Saietta? Will you be rushing out to place your order?
