These are the first studio shots of South Africa designer Pierre Terblanche’s Moto Guzzi concepts, which we first wrote about in November 2009 after their launch at the EICMA show in Milan.
Terblanche has created three mutations of the Moto Guzzi V12 – all of them developed around the 1 200cm3 4-valve 90-degree V-twin from Mandello.
The Le Mans concept is a fresh take on the classic Italian sports bike, while the Strada is positioned as an everyday naked commuter with comfortable riding position and touring-style handlebars.
The V12 X, on the other hand is, in the words of Moto Guzzi, a “one-of-a-kind” type motorcycle which pushes the boundaries of a supermoto and streetfighter.
Born it Uitenhage in 1956, Terblanche used to head up the Ducati design team and was responsible for penning the Hypermotard and Multistrada 1000 S among others before changing his allegiance to Moto Guzzi.
