2015 SA Bike of the Year: Readers' choice

JOHANNESBURG - The 2015 Pirelli SA Bike of the Year Award was announced by the Association of Professional Motorcycle Journalists (APMJ) on Wednesday (August 19).

Kawasaki's mighty H2 is the 2015 winner with the Triumph Tiger 800 XCx in second and Yamaha's R1 finishing third.

16 FINALISTS

Motorcycle manufacturers and importers were asked to nominated "new-for-2015" models, from which 16 finalists were chosen by the panel of judges.

BIKE OF THE YEAR: READERS' POLL

Wheels24 ran its own readers' poll which garnered 2425 votes. The BMW S1000RR was the overall winner with 839 votes.

In second place was the official SA Bike of the Year winner, the Kawasaki Ninja H2, with 481 votes, followed by KTM 1290 Super Adventure (333) and Yamaha R1 (276) in third and fourth respectively.
