WATCH: Why do drivers keep hitting this huge boulder in a parking lot?

Calgary - Three drivers have crashed into a rock placed in the middle of an island in a parking lot in the city of Calgary, Canada.

Motorists simply didn't see the large boulder according to www.cbc.ca 

Why place a giant rock in a parking lot?

According to an employee the rock was placed in the lot to prevent drivers from driving over the curb.

However the opposite effect took place as the owner of an SUV misjudged the rock and then saw the vehicle lying on its side.

Two further incidents of motorists colliding with the rock were reported during the same weekend. 

According to metronews.ca, Sage Rock as it has become affectionately known as will be moved, to relief of Calgary motorists.
