Johannesburg - Buying a used car can be a risky investment. You are never 100% sure of the car's history and how it has been treated.

Has it been in an accident? Has it been repaired? What sort of condition is it really in?

By following a few of these steps, you can look out for some tell-tale signs that all is not as it seems.

Checking the age and condition of certain components will give you a better idea of the car's past and what it's been through with the previous owners. 

These tips will help you decide on a car, but once that decision has been made, we still suggest letting the professionals go through it with a fine-tooth comb.
