Johannesburg - The South African Guild of Motoring Journalists (SAGMJ) has announced its jury members for the 2018 Wesbank South African Car Of The Year (CoTY).

Following a vote by the SAGMJ, Wheels24's Janine Van Der Post will once again be a judge in the annual competition.

We've included a list of previous SA CoTY winners at the end of this article.

How it works

The eligibility period for vehicles that may be considered for the SA CoTY competition closes at midnight on August 31 2017. 

Members of the SAGMJ will then cast their vote to determine the semi-finalists. The jury will cast their vote on the semi-finalists to determine the finalists for the competition, set to be announced on September 19

Wheels24 will run our Readers' SA Car of the Year vote throughout the competition.

Car of the Year testing

On 29 and 30 January 2018 the jury will put the finalists through stringent testing. The 2018 SA Car of the Year winner will be announced at an event in March 2018.
