Special edition Navara for SA

Nissan is set to launch a special edition of its rugged Navara bakkie in September 2012.

The Titanium special edition sports a number of exterior and interior style updates over the current SE model.

Limited to a production run of just 200 units, the Navara Titanium receives titanium-coloured wheels, a new grille, rear step bumper, side mirror covers and new door handles.

EXCLUSIVE PACKAGE

Other exterior enhancements include all-terrain tyres, a tow bar, bull bar and tonneau cover.

The metallic theme continues in the interior with new embossed carpets and a special Titanium branded key ring. The limited edition Navara will be available in three colours – white, black and silver.

Available in either 4X2 and 4X4 guise, the model is powered by a 2.5 turbo diesel engine capable of 128kW of power and 403Nm torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission and has a claimed fuel consumption of 9.0 litres/100km (4x4) and has a 3000kg towing capacity with a braked trailer.

The model has a ground clearance of 233mm, an approach angle of 29 degrees and a departure angle of 22 degrees.

Marinus Venter, Navara product manager South Africa, said: “The Nissan Navara Titanium special version really brings into being the toughness of the Navara and is perfect for individuals who like to take the road less travelled. It has been well-positioned and offers great value in an exclusive package.”
